I truly enjoyed His Brat and was excited to see this new release. one thing that I have realized about Isabella Starling's books are that the blurbs are misleading. This story was about humiliation, domination and submission. I love kink!! What I did not like about this book was that there was no discussion between Cara and Mason about the type of relationship he desired and whether or not she was willing to participate in a kink relationship. Cara was 18, a virgin, sheltered and unaware that Mason had been infatuated with her for 2 years. He manipulates her in so many ways, refers to her by derogatory names, chokes her, dunks her face in the pool to scare her, then says he's not trying to hurt her!!! Mason's behavior is repugnant. Cara never had a choice. He imposed his wants upon her and got off on her fear and submission. I can't believe that so many women love this book. I think my big issue is that Cara is only 18. Had she been 25 or older, it would not have bothered me so much. I had to force myself to finish this one.Product details

Isabella Sterling, this is the first book I've read of yours, and good freaking God I'm so flipping turned on it should be a crime!! Ugh!
Call it taboo, call it insane, I frankly do not give one flying flute. This book was so hot my blood turned to molten lava in the best possible way!! Phew. Okay, I've got my head on straight now. Ehem.
To anyone who doesn't want a book that will leave you begging to get laid in the first 6 minutes of this book, do not continue.
That being said, this book was sheer freaking perfection, minus the two little typos I caught lol. Anyways, I'm completely obsessed with this book. Talk about making you darkest fantasies walk off the page, only to caress your soul. Gah... I don't even know what else to say. I'm dumbstruck and needing an ice bath. Or twenty. Yup, I'm speechless now.
Just go read this book. Seriously. Just read it.
Once again Isabella has grabbed me with both hands for this steamy ride. We meet Cara who has turned 18 & has plans to go to Italy to meet a boy but there's a surprise waiting for her. In comes Mason, her dad's friend, whom she is staying with. He has been drawn to her since she turned 16 & she begins to feel this pull as well and that's when things get hot & tricky.
The tension builds between them and it's only a matter of time before their desires consume them. The scenes between them are intense & really hot so you may need a fan & ice water handy. The sweet words, intensity, & boundaries being pushed just leaves you panting for more. I highly recommend this book.
OMG I love this book. I was like drooling because I wanted more. This book was so way better then book one and I was so blown away his Muse is so amazing I had a good time reading this book I was I had my ups and downs with his books I didn't feel like I was going to read or not but I read it and I could not put the book down this book was so amazing this is the kind of stuff I've been looking for love that is dark and forbidden it's amazing. Didn't like the heroine because she was so bratty and I didn't like that at all in the heroes just out of this world I had mind blown with this book they were both amazing I'm just glad he finally put her in her place as a wonderful amazing Daddy would do to his little girl.
I'm reading through Ms. Starling's books. Very sexy/erotic. The "Daddy" theme is different from the other erotica I've read. Interesting slant on erotic story telling and I've enjoyed the books I've read so far, including this one, His Muse. However, there were lots of editing issues - grammar, punctuation, incorrect words (vein instead of vain), missing words, etc., which kept pulling me out of the story. I've seen worse, as this genre is loaded with editing mistakes, but it really is distracting and sloppy. Ms. Starling tells a very good story with strong H/h and good supporting characters. I just hope she improves the quality of her writing.

If "dark" is your poison, then get ready to take a swig! "His Muse" takes you on a very dark but sexy ride..... Cara, who just turned 18 wants to go to Europe for the summer and see the sights. Those sights being her secret online pen pal Luca. Her father arranges for her to stay with a friend of his, 32-year old Mason. Cara is none too pleased to find out she has to stay with one of her father's "old" friends but reluctantly agrees.
Imagine her surprise when she arrives and discovers he’s not old at all. In fact, Mason is sexy as hell and makes her weak in the knees. She is surprised at his controlling nature, dishing out orders to her and demanding she follow them. She’s even more surprised at how his demanding take charge attitude turns her on. Mason immediately makes it clear that he is interested in her and will stop at nothing to make her his, to own her and her submission and will settle for nothing less.
Things get even more interesting when, while walking the grounds of the property, Cara runs into none other than her pen pal Luca who is staying on the property. She notices that he seems different than when they talked online, cockier even, but quickly forgets about it. When Mason sees them talking together, he does not like it…. Not one bit.
What happens next? I’m not telling. I will say that things are not as they appear. Turns out, Mason has secrets. Lots of them. What happens when Mason pushes her limits, demanding she submit to him? Will Cara’s growing feelings towards Mason unleash her inner most desires? Will she submit to Mason and take the proverbial walk on the wild kinky side? What happens when Luca’s true nature rears its ugly little head, crossing the line? What would Cara’s father do if he were to ever find out about their relationship? What happens when certain “doors” are opened and truths are discovered?
I enjoyed this story but I will say that Mason’s punishment at the pool left me speechless and angry. I thought it crossed the line from kinky to abusive, even in the name of trust. Secrets, lies and hidden agendas keep this story going and the reader guessing. The sexy time in this story is panty melting. If you don’t mind the author pushing your limits, then pick up your copy and enjoy! I did.
